On Wednesday, Babar Azam, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, played a match-winning innings of 68 runs off 46 balls against Karachi Kings. He started his innings strongly by hitting his signature cover drive off the first ball from his former teammate, Mohammad Amir, and then flicked him for another boundary.
Amir’s frustration was evident when he threw the next ball towards Babar in desperation. Babar completed his half-century in 39 balls by cutting a short delivery from Imad for a boundary. He further accelerated his innings by hitting a six and two fours off Andrew Tye in an over. However, he was eventually caught on the long off by Imran Tahir after scoring seven fours and a six during his knock.
