Captaincy for Afghanistan series: Imad, Shan, and Shadab in race

Published:

Imad Wasim, Shan Masood, and Shadab Khan are reportedly in contention for the Pakistan captaincy in the upcoming T20 International series against Afghanistan. The selectors had reportedly considered resting senior players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan for the series, with Shaheen Afridi tipped to replace Babar as captain.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Shaheen has also been advised to rest, and Babar and Rizwan have made it clear that they are available for selection. The decision to rest players is seen as an important move by the PCB to manage player workload and ensure their fitness for future games.
