Former Cricketer Kamran Akmal Wants the World to Acknowledge Babar Azam’s Achievements

Published:

Wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has recently addressed the criticism he has received for not publicly praising his younger cousin and top batter Babar Azam. During a press conference, Kamran cleared up the misconception by stating that he chooses not to praise his brothers, including Babar, as he wants the world to recognize their achievements.

Kamran emphasized that Babar is an exceptional player and he wants him to continue to perform. He confirmed that he is now retired from all forms of cricket and will be focusing on new roles within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

He has been named to the national men’s selection committee alongside Yasir Hameed and Mohammad Sami, with Haroon Rashid serving as chairman.

While Kamran confirmed that he will not be playing cricket anymore, he mentioned that he may play in small leagues, depending on his responsibilities in his new role with the PCB. He is currently serving as a batting mentor for the Peshawar Zalmi team in the 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Kamran’s statement about not wanting to praise his brothers sheds light on the type of person he is and his selflessness. He wants the world to acknowledge and appreciate his family members’ talent and hard work, rather than taking credit for their success himself. This is a testament to the bond he shares with his brothers and his genuine love for their careers.

In conclusion, Kamran Akmal’s recent press conference has cleared up any misunderstandings and has highlighted his humble nature. He is a proud member of his family and wants nothing more than for the world to recognize their achievements.
