Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim recently spoke to the media, expressing his happiness for Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan’s growth as a T20 batsman.
Wasim admitted that they couldn’t find a suitable position for Rizwan in the opening slot while he was with Kings, and he didn’t want to change the opening pair of Alex Hales and Babar Azam. He clarified that he was not involved in the decision to trade Babar Azam to Peshawar Zalmi and said that their team owner was responsible for it.
Wasim also spoke about playing under Babar’s captaincy last season and his plans to continue leading his team from the front to bring back the title this year. He dismissed the notion that Karachi Kings have an intense rivalry with Peshawar Zalmi and stated that they view every team as a challenge and aim to win games for their franchise.
