Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India is the frontrunner to host the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match during the ICC 2023 World Cup, which is scheduled for October-November. The game will mark the first time the arch-rivals will play on Indian soil since 2016.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has selected the Ahmedabad stadium due to its capacity to seat up to 100,000 spectators, expecting a significant number of international fans to travel to India for the event. The BCCI will unveil the World Cup schedule after the ongoing Indian Premier League concludes.
The report also suggests that for security reasons, Pakistan may play most of their matches in Chennai and Bengaluru, while Kolkata’s Eden Gardens is being considered as a possible venue for Pakistan’s matches.
