Shoaib Malik recently spoke about the perceived rivalry between Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam and his teammates Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir. Malik clarified that all three players have a great deal of respect for one another as professionals.
He stated that healthy competition is essential in any league, and players must motivate themselves to give their best on the field. He emphasized that it is crucial to maintain respect and not cross the line.
Previously, Mohammad Amir’s statement on a local channel angered Babar Azam’s fans, where he stated that facing Babar or a tailender batting at number 10 is the same for him. However, in the recent match against Karachi Kings, Babar let his bat do the talking by playing a match-winning 68-run knock, hitting Amir and Imad for a couple of boundaries each.
