The 8th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), scheduled to take place from February 13th to March 19th, will feature a new trophy to be unveiled by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The event, which will be attended by the captains of all six franchises and PCB Chairman Najam Sethi, will take place on February 9th at the Shalimar Bagh in Lahore.
According to a PCB official, the new trophy has been designed to better reflect the essence of Pakistan and its cricket culture. The old trophy, used in the previous seven editions of the PSL, will no longer be used. Efforts are being made to have all of the captains present at the trophy unveiling ceremony.
The official stated, “The newly designed trophy will be presented to the winners of the eighth edition of the PSL. A freshly crafted trophy with a more appealing look will be revealed on February 9th at the Shalimar Garden. The captains of Multan Sultan and Lahore Qalandars will be present, and we are trying to have all of the captains in attendance for the trophy unveiling ceremony.”
