The Quetta Gladiators emerged victorious in a recent exhibition match against the Peshawar Zalmi, but tensions ran high on the field.
During the fourth over of Zalmi’s innings, when Mohammad Haris hit a boundary off Aimal Khan, Sarfaraz, who was playing for the Gladiators, was caught on camera directing insults towards his teammate.
This type of behavior from Sarfaraz is not new, as he has been criticized by cricket fans and former players for his emotional outbursts towards his own team.
In 2021, Lahore Qalandars head coach, Aaqib Javed, even raised the issue with umpire Aleem Dar, complaining about Sarfaraz’s treatment of Quetta’s bowlers. The wicketkeeper has also been fined in the past for using inappropriate language during a game.
