Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik has made history by becoming the first Pakistani cricketer to play 500 T20 matches, and only the third globally. He is also the only player to have featured in over 400 List A and T20 games.
Malik has amassed 12,287 runs in 464 innings of these 500 matches, ranking him as the second-highest run-scorer in T20 cricket.
He has taken 162 wickets in 266 innings. Although Malik has retired from Test and ODI cricket, he hopes to make a return to the Pakistan T20 team.
The most matches played in T20 cricket are: Kieron Pollard (614 matches), Dwayne Bravo (556 matches), and Shoaib Malik (500 matches).
